Safety comes first

Many of our learners are children, so every tutor is checked before they can teach.

How we keep lessons safe →
  • We check every tutor's identity, qualifications and background check (Enhanced DBS in the UK, police clearance in Nigeria) before they can teach.
  • All messages and lessons stay on AfriTutor. Phone numbers, emails and links can't be shared.
  • Every lesson is recorded. Families can watch recordings for 30 days.
  • Parents can join their child's lessons, and anyone can report a message or a review to our team.

Pay as you go, or save with a pack

Pay per lesson

Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, shown up front. Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes.

Lesson packs

Buy 5 or 10 lessons with a tutor and save 5%. Credits last 6 months, and unused credits can be refunded at any time.

Weekly lessons

Book the same time every week for up to 12 weeks in one go. Cancel any single lesson up to 24 hours before for free.
